Gharanedar Gayaki

Sangit Mahabharati presents a 2-day Baithak series of “Gharanedaar Gayaki” featuring
Pt. Madhukar Joshi senior vocalist of the Gwalior, Agra and Jaipur styles, and son of the erudite Pt. Gajananrao Joshi on 14th August 2010 at 6:30pm.
After the flag hoisting ceremony at 9:30am on 15th August 2010, Pt. Sharad Sathe of the Gwalior Gharana, disciple of Pt. DV Paluskar, Prof. BR Deodhar and Pt. Sharadchandra Arolkar will take the stage at 10am. The concluding session at 6pm will feature young Samarth Nagarkar of the Agra Gharana, a disciple of the revered Guru Pt. Dinkar Kaikini and Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar, followed by the scion of the Khurja-Atrauli Gharana, Ustad Aslam Khan, disciple of the late Ustad Azmat Hussain Khan and Ustad Khadim Hussain Khan.
