Hello, Flute Players. I am lover of Flute. Want to play flute. Can play some songs on flute. I want to know what are basic rules to follow to play flute easily that breathing is not disturbed and a sweet sound is produced.
Please have some talk to increase the knowledge.

Hi Vinod,
there is no simple reply to your question that can be described in words. Its like trying to write down in words how to ride a bicycle.
If you are a beginner I suggest
- Be careful to cover all the finger holes properly
- Start with a smaller flute
- First try to get a sound with no hole covered and then start covering holes one by one from top down till you get it right.
- Use a good flute and a tanpura in conjunction. These days free software emulating a tanpura like taalpulse is available or riyaz studio or a electronic box from Radel.
- Practise various alankars at various speeds with taal.
- Practise, Practise, Practise. Its very easy to go out of tune.
- Listen to the masters.
