Sampada Mandke-Vipat is one of the most versatile and promising artiste of the younger generation. She is an ardent disciple of legendary Pandita Mrs. Manik Bhide of the Jaipur-Atroli Gharana. Born in 1974, the early manifestation of her talent saw her begin training at the age of seven. She holds a Master's degree from the Centre for Performing Arts, (Lalit Kala Kendra) University of Pune. For her masters course she presented a thesis on "The comparative aspects of classical and semi-classical music" under the expert guidence of Dr. Vikas Kashalkar and Pandit Ajay Pohankar.
